Marcia Mouron Artist?

I love to experiment with different ways to speak to the world. So far, my "speaking" has been through different types of the visual art: mixed-media painting, sculpting, doodling and photography. In all my work I particularly enjoy using what I think of as Adjusting the Angle…looking at things from a bit of a different view which I feel encourages people to take a fresh look at what may have been an ordinary subject. Above all, I am a cheerleader for people getting out and continuing to be open and make the most of their lives.

Painting/Mixed Media — while I don't considerer myself a painter, I enjoy paint and pushing it around. I enjoy seeing what appears and it allows me to combine texture and elements from my photographs but not be limited to what is right before my eyes.

Sculpting — satisfies the need to touch, to run my fingers over the planes and contours of an object, to feel the substance behind the façade.

Doodling — is a launch pad for whimsy – grabbing a pad of paper, colored pencils and markers and playing!.
